Adventure Quest 2017 has an exciting array of major activities along with an experienced staff. When you aren't out with you activity crew, we have a great crew to keep life moving.


Camp Director: Brandon Keller is excited to once again lead this action packed program on the adventure of a lifetime in the Ozark Mountains for 2017! Brandon took over as Camp Director for the program in 2016, and looks forward to adding his own new and exciting touches to the program for 2017. He has also spent 2 years as the Program Director for the Adventure quest program, giving him the full view of what this program has to offer. Brandon has 10 years of experience serving on the Camp Geiger Staff, most recently serving as the Nature Director during the Boy Scout Sessions. He also has 3 years of administration experience serving as the program director of Camp Geiger’s Cub Scout Resident Camping programs. Brandon is a National Camping School trained Resident Camp Administrator. This proud graduate of Kansas State University, is currently pursuing his Master’s in Business Administration from Northwest Missouri State University.

Program Director: Robert Caya has agreed to return as the Program Director for the 2017 program! Robert has served on the Camp Geiger Staff on both the Scoutcraft and COPE and Climbing staff. He is also currently serving as the Program Director for the Cub Scout Resident Camping programs at Camp Geiger. Robert is currently attending Kansas State University where he is working on his Bachelor’s degree in Park Management and Conservation.

Activities Director/Medical Support: Jordan Miller is excited to be returning to our staff for the 2017 trek! Jordan is a long-time staff member at Camp Geiger where he was worked as our mountain biking instructor as well as a member of the Cope and Climbing staff. In 2015, Jordan led our Mountain Biking program. Jordan is currently attending Missouri Western University studying nursing. He also serves in the Missouri National Guard as a medic. 

Kayaking: Ellis Covington is excited to be joining our team for our 2017 Arkansas Trek! Ellis proudly hails from the Lone Star state, where he is a member of Troop 451 in Lewisville, Texas. Ellis has spent many of the past summers working as a member of the aquatics staff spending hours in the pool and on the lake. Ellis is also an alumni of the Adventure Quest program and can't wait to share his experience with participants this summer! 

Logistics Coordinator: Dennis Draper will once again return in 2017 for his 5th year as our Logistics Coordinator. Dennis brings years of scouting experience to the table, including the planning of numerous scout trips. Dennis serves as the advisor to the Pony Express Council Venturing Officers Association that works to bring new and exciting programs such as Adventure Quest to the Venture Scouts of our council. Dennis always looks forward to his next trip to Beaver Lake, Arkansas! 


Quartermaster/Outdoor Cooking: We are excited to introduce an new member to our staff in 2017, Connie Jones will be joining us in the role of Quartermaster as well as helping instruct outdoor cooking. Connie is a familiar face to those who have spent any time at Camp Geiger where she serves as our office manager during the summers. She will have plenty of tricks and tips to share with our participants, and some great recipes for everyone to add to their cookbooks!
