For over 100 years, the Order of the Arrow (OA) has recognized Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. This recognition provides encouragement for others to live these ideals as well. Arrowmen are known for maintaining camping traditions and spirit, promoting year-round and long-term resident camping, and providing cheerful service to others. OA service, activities, adventures, and training for youth and adults are models of quality leadership development and programming that enrich and help to extend Scouting to America's youth.
The Order of the Arrow was founded in 1915 to serve a useful purpose: to cause the Scout Oath and Law to spring into action in all parts of the nation. To this day, the Order is dedicated to this high purpose.
The Order of the Arrow has a rich history spanning 100 years, from its beginnings at a Scout summer camp to its present role as a part of the Scouting program.
The Pony Express Council chartered the O-NI-FLO Lodge in August 2018. Scouts can now join a lodge throughout every council in America.

Happy 2021 everyone! I hope you are as excited about this year as I am. It can only go up from here right?
I have spent the entire weekend compiling over 200 letters, information packets, and return address envelopes that are going out in the mail to the entire lodge members individually. If you receive this email, but do not receive an mailing packet from me, we may not have a complete address in the national OA lodgemaster system. If this happens, please email me your name, address, phone number, BSA number if know, and DOB if under 21.
The most important thing that the lodge needs is unit elections which are now through December. We have two inductions, brotherhood ceremonies planned for this year Feb 12-13th is our first one at Geiger. We can do elections for troops one of 3 ways, 1. The Troop runs their own elections and send me a copy of the election forms with all above information for each person elected. 2. My officers and I can travel to troops and do in person elections or 3. We can do a zoom call elections. Just let me know what you want to do.
The other most important thing is to pay Council your $10 dues. Their mailing address is 1704 Buckingham, St Joseph MO 64506. Anyone not paid for 2021 may not receive the communication properly as we have to go back to previous years to send emails and you will not be eligible to partake in events and activities or be an officer unless the dues are paid.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call me. I look forward to working with each of you this year and to increase membership in our lodge and to do more fun things to help brighten our spirits after being in the quarantine slump this entire year.
