Wood Badge 2018 Information 

 

Important Dates and Times

  • March 10, 2018, a mandatory pre-course Meeting at 7:00 PM, at the Camp Geiger Dining Hall

    • All fees, if not previously paid, due at this time. A great time to turn in a copy of your current health form.

  • April 13, 2018 to April 15, 2018, first Course weekend at Camp Geiger

  • Mid-course meeting - date and time to be determined by your patrol during the first weekend

  • May 4,2018 to May 6, 2018,second Course weekend at Camp Geiger

  • August 11, 2018, a post-course meeting at the Camp Geiger Training Center

 

Course Limit:

48 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. A waiting list will then be created in the order in which fees are received. Please register early! Don’t miss out! It is anticipated this course will fill quickly!

Fees:

Early registration before March 1, 2017 will be $175.00

After March 1st, 2017 - Registration of $200.00      

A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $100.00 is required to hold your place. The balance for a total cost must be paid 30 days prior to arrival at the course.

Fees includes all meals and training materials

All participants must complete and submit an application and health form

 

Refunds:
1. A portion of the course fee will be a “non-refundable, non-transferable deposit.” Because the practice of transferring deposits or fees from one course or person to another has frequently caused confusion and difficulty in keeping accurate financial records, no portion of any course deposit will be transferred to other Council training activities or other Wood Badge courses, or from one applicant to another.
2. The amount of the non-refundable, non-transferable deposit for courses conducted at Council Camps will be $100.00.
3. Each applicant should insure that he/she understands the Council’s
Wood Badge Course Fee Deposit Reimbursement Policy prior to payment of the initial deposit for the course.
4. Additional portions of the course fee may become non-refundable, depending upon the circumstances and timing of the applicant’s
withdrawal from the course.
5. Any refundable portion of the course fee will be paid by the Council only upon verification by the Course Director that a refund is
appropriate.

 

We have Scholarship Funds available
for those taking the Wood Badge course.
