Robidoux District Klondike - Troop 21 Gold Rush

Fords Farm (Andrew County, Missouri) - Exhausted from a previous weekend event at the Quivira Councils Trappers Rendezvous, the scouts of Troop 21 were up for the challenge of the District Klondike held at Fords Farm in Andrew County, Missouri.  Scouts quickly prepared their sleds, gear, and load plans for the annual completion between Troops in the District.  With two Patrols competing from Troop 21, the Troop was ready to test their mettle and skills in the day long event.

Upon arrival, scouts had their sleds inspected, check.  Then it was off to the events.  Knots and lashings, first aid, shelter building, blind tent set up, orienteering, scout knowledge, patrol spirit, fire building, etc. was the events to tackle.  Upon completion of each event, the patrols received a number of gold nuggets based on their score at each event.  Then the patrols competed in a sled race.

The result, pure gold baby! Troop 21 Patrols took 1st and 3rd place in patrol events and 1st and 2nd in Sled Races walking away with some bling and trophy's for the troop awards case.  Overall, their were 6 total awards for the entire event to take which were the prized awards envied by all Troops in attendance, Troop 21 took four of the six!  Outstanding job and a reflection of the dedication and hard work of the scouts and leaders of Troop 21!
