Moon Watcher Is New Chieftain!


Dirck Clark, Chief Development Officer for Heartland Heath in St. Joseph, was selected Saturday evening June 5 as Chieftain Moon Watcher for the Tribe Of Mic-O-Say in ceremonies held at Camp Geiger, north of St. Joseph.


Clark, whose responsibilities at Heartland include strategic planning, advocacy, regional development and medical student education, has previously worked for the United States Senate and Senator Kit Bond for seven years. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Mo. Additionally, Dirck serves on the Board of Governors of Missouri Western State University, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and as Board President of the Boy Scouts of America Pony Express Council.

Dirck was inducted in Mic-O-Say as a Brave in 1974, elevated to Warrior in 1975 and Firebuilder in 1976.  His son, Jonathan, was inducted as a Brave in 2009.
