CAMP GEIGER is your local Boy Scout camp located northwest of St. Joseph near the K Highway exit from Interstate 229.  Established in 1935, it has provided many generations of energetic campers tremendous amount of fun, excitement and valuable outdoor experiences.

Most recently two large complexes were constructed for the continued enjoyment of our Scouts – The Geiger Shooting Range and C.O.P.E. Course.  These two facilities are also available to the public on a rental basis.  Both the Sporting Clays and C.O.P.E. Staffs are ready to show your group, organization or business the educational and memorable aspects of outdoor fun.

The Geiger Shooting Range with the new Herzog Lodge offers an excellent alternative for group/business meetings or client entertainment. The Sporting Clays course provides a variety of targets suitable for all skill levels.

Project C.O.P.E. is a national program of the Boy Scouts of American.  COPE is an acronym for “Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience” and is designed to provide all participants both group and individual challenges that encourage teamwork and leadership skills.  The history of Project COPE goes back to 1979-80 when the first COPE course in the country was build here at Camp Geiger.  Today’s new state-of-the-art course was finished in 2010 and offers quite a variety of high and low stations.
