With the 2010 camping season I served on Camp Geiger staff for 8 years, 3 as Scout Craft (Outdoor Skills) director and 5 as Camp Director. I am a Medicine Man in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.

I've been active in the unit and district level in Kanza since the late '70's as my sons became involved. Currently I serve as the Program Committed Chairman for the District Committee, help with the Kanza Mic-O-Say Dance, and an assistant scoutmaster with the Wagon Wheel Troops (53 and 94). I have lead a Leadership Training Retreat for local units is 1992.

In 2003 I retired from the Atchison Public Schools as a School Psychologist after 30 years. I was involved in direct service to students and administrative duties. I enjoyed the work and continued with the system as a substitute teacher until 2009.

I am an Eagle Scout from the Kaw Council (now the Kaw District of the Heart of America Council). While a youth I became a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow. I attended the 1960 Jamboree and went to Philmont in 1961. As an adult I have been on treks at Philmont 5 times, Boundary Waters twice and lead the Pony Express Contingent to the 2001 Jamboree.

I have attended Nation Camp School 3 times, once for Outdoor Skills and twice for Administration. I was honored by being asked to serve on the Faculty for the NCS at S bar F in the spring of 2010.I have been awarded the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver.
