Outdoor Leader Training

Boy Scout Outdoor Leader Training

This part of the course offers all of the skills necessary for the outdoor portion of the Scouting program. The course runs from Saturday morning to Sunday noon and is a must for those who want to learn more about cooking, camping, woods tools, fire building, etc. This course also stresses the patrol method and how a troop operates in the outdoors. This course is necessary to be a fully trained Boy Scout Leader, but all adult leaders are welcomed to take this course.

Outdoor Webelos Leader Training (OWL)

The outdoor activity pins are the most exciting for the Webelos Scouts to earn. Many adult leaders, however, are not well-versed in the skills needed to teach these activities. This course takes you through the different pins and helps you to understand and practice some of the skills that you will need. This course runs overnight from Saturday morning until Sunday noon.
