Troop Registration for 2012 Summer Camp
The 2011 Summer Camping season has drawn to a close. We hope you had a fantastic summer camp experience. Can't wait to get back? You may now register your troop to attend 2012 Summer Camp.
The first step is to Sign In to your MyCouncil Account. If you do not have one, click “Join” in the extreme upper right-hand corner and follow the prompts to create an account for yourself. You can always tell when you are logged in because you will be able to see your name in small white letters in the upper right-hand corner.
Information Expected
When you register your troop you will be asked for your contact information. As a Contingent Contact you will receive copies of all emails regarding summer camp. You may also contact the office at (816) 233-1351 (ask for Camping Services) and have others added as Contingent Contacts. We recommend that the Scoutmaster and Campmaster be contacts. The Treasurer should be if he or she will be the one initiating the online payments. If someone else is going to be the “Registration Manager” (entering Scouts and Adult campers), that person certainly should be added. Again contact us for help in adding Contingent Contacts.
Besides entering basic information about your troop we would like you to estimate the number of Scouts and Adults you think might attend. Take into consideration history, Cub Scouts crossing over and look in that crystal ball.
Although you will be registering for a specific week of camp (your 1st choice) please provide us with a 2nd and 3rd alternate week and your reasons why particular week(s) are important to your troop. We will contact you if we cannot accommodate your 1st choice of weeks.
Lastly we would like to know in advance what day you intend to check in: Sunday (normal check-in), Monday (LDS Troop) or if you want us to call you because you would like to make special arrangements.
Payment
Unit (Troop) Registration is $100. Payments must be made online when you register. That money will be credited to your Contingent (Troop) Account and can be applied later to the Scouts’ and Adults’ camp fees when you begin registering them. Suggestion - apply that to your Campmaster’s or SPL’s camp fees.
Registration of Scouts and Adults and Selection of Classes
We will open registration for Scouts and Adults February 1st and the Selection of Classes and Activities April 1st. Both will be preceded by email notification to the Contingent Contacts. It will benefit you to secure commitments from your Scouts and their families to attend camp before April 1st so they can be registered and their classes selected as soon as possible after April 1st.
