Pinewood Derby A Success! – Special Thanks goes out to Richard Foust, Event Chairman from Pack 71, and to everyone else that made the event possible.

Special Congratulations to Rodney Coverdell, Troop 75, for receiving the Silver Beaver award at the Pony Express Council Recognition Dinner.

Pony Express Council Items: 
Effective immediately the Scout Office and store will no longer be open on Saturdays. Hours will remain the same for weekdays 8:30 – 5:00 Monday through Friday.

Promotional Video: Every Boy Scout Troop will be receiving a DVD that features a video that can be used as an interest builder for the upcoming National Jamboree.

If you are interested in serving in one of the adult leadership positions, please fill out an interest form and return it to the council office. Forms are due back to the council office May 2nd, 2011. More Information and forms available at:

Council Advancement Committee adopts new guidelines for Eagle Scout projects in all districts of the Pony Express Council. After a review of National Standards, to create consistency in undefined or variable areas, this guideline will become part of all Eagle packets.

Boy Scout: 1 Rank Advancement, 10 Merit Badges
