“Scouting’s Journey to Excellence” is the BSA’s new council performance recognition program designed to encourage and reward success and measure the performance of our units, districts, and councils. It is replacing the Centennial Quality Awards Program as a means of encouraging excellence in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA. For more Information please go to: Link


Effective immediately the Scout Office and store will no longer be open on Saturdays. Hours will remain the same for weekdays 8:30 – 5:00 Monday through Friday.

2013 National Jamboree: If you are interested in serving in one of the adult leadership positions, please fill out an interest form and return it to the council office. Forms are due back to the council office May 2nd, 2011. More Information and forms available at:

Spring Recruitment:  The Otoe District is going to provide an incentive program that will tie into your unit’s Spring Recruitment. The program focuses on youth recruitment, and those boys that bring their friends to sign up for scouts will be rewarded based upon the amount of new members they successfully recruit. A graduated scale of prizes/rewards will be used.
