Health Forms
The national organization has developed ANOTHER new Health Form which are now required. Annual physicals are required for all campers. Athletic forms will no longer be accepted in place of the official form. You can down load the NEWEST National Medical Forms AT THIS LINK. T The new forms also include a Talent Consent section that provides permission to use the individuals picture or interview in promotional materials.
The new forms include weight recommendations. As stated on the forms, the restrictions are absolute for high adventure outings where medical care is not close. Geiger is 12 minutes from a hospital by vehicle which is well within the 30 minute required window. However, physicians giving the individual physical may apply stricter requirements based on the individual's condition.
Since the Mic-O-Say program is unique to Camp Geiger, the camping committee has decided for the protection of our scouts and scouters Runners, Keepers, Tribal Council Members, Chieftains, and other individuals that come most weeks during the camping season need to have a physical on file. These can be turned in at Feast or the first session you are in camp. When you come for your session let the health lodge know that yours is on file.
Pre-Order Camp Tee Shirts
If you order your Camp Geiger Tee Shirts with your April Payment you can get the special edition with your units number and city on the front and this years design on the back. As always, the Geiger 2012 Tee Shirt will be something very special to every camper. The design will be post as soon as it is available. In the mean time every troop will want to plan to get their own special shirts.
Use the order form from the Forms section when placing your order.
No More Cots
Maintaining the old spring cots has been a problem for campers. Many have brought their own for a number of years. Starting this summer the camp will no longer provide cots. We do have a few of the heavy metal cots without springs. Please let us know at the pre-camp meeting if your unit will need these.
Special Needs
If your unit has a special concern or need feel free to contact the camp director, Tony Sasso.
